This week’s racing came courtesy of Rossendale MX club, the club members had worked hard to ensure the track was in perfect condition for the start of the days racing.
Kicking off the day’s racing was the MX1 experts, this race is always a crowd pleaser and this week was no exception. Race one was dominated by from start gate to chequered flag by Rockets own Rob Clitheroe storming ahead to take the first race of the day. In races two and three Rob gave the rest of the field a good lead before leaving the start gate but still managed to make his way through the pack to take three wins. Lee Buck joined his team mate on the start gate Lee had three very good rides in this strong field of riders to take the chequered flag in third position in all three races. With the overall win going to Rob Clitheroe, young Michael Smith had to settle for second with Rocket rider Lee taking home the third place trophy.
Dave “Flash” Parrington was missing from the MX2 experts line up due to breaking his toes! Hopefully it won’t be long before we see him back on the start gate. Young Sam Entwistle rode three good races on his home track to take home the third place trophy whilst Michael Smith took the overall win with Ryan Mcpartland in second.
Charnock Richard holds next week’s race meeting; please remember no camping is allowed at this event. With the temperature set to be sizzling this coming weekend as will the racing, grab your sun hat and get yourself down to Charnock not only will you see some fantastic racing but you’ll also top up your tan!
