AMCA 23-5-10 Charnock Richard

This weeks racing came courtesy of Charnock Richard MCC, the weather as promised was a scorcher but the club watered the track at regular intervals through out the day to keep the dust at bay.
MX2 experts kicked off the days racing, with Dave and Sam not riding at this meeting it was up to young Ryan Crowder to fly the flag for the Rockets. Ryan rode well in all three of his races despite the very hot weather, in race one Ryan finished in fourth position; race two saw Ryan display some excellent riding as he took the chequered flag in first position and in race three following a good start Ryan took the third spot. The overall win went to young Rossendale rider Matthew Williamson, Rocket rider Ryan Crowder took the overall second position with Paul Bowen in third place.
Team mates Aaron Crowder and Lee Buck kept each other company on the start gate for the much anticipated MX1 experts, the racing from these experts didn’t disappoint the large crowd who had come to watch. Race one saw Aaron with some competition from Steve Bailey from the Macclesfield club who just piped Aaron to the finish line in race one. Races two and three where a different matter as Aaron took charge of the field to take the chequered flag in these two races and the overall first place trophy. Although Lee didn’t get the start he may have liked in his first race of the day he came through the pack to take the chequered flag in eighth place. Following better starts in races two and three saw Lee making his way through the field to take fifth place in both of these races and finish in overall fourth position. With Aaron taking the overall win, Sean Eckersley was the one who picked up the second place trophy and Chris Brightmore the overall third spot.
Next weeks racing will be held by Preston MCC, please be aware there is no camping at this event. The Rocket Centre spares van will be on hand for you to purchase any parts or produces you may need. If there is anything you would like us to bring to this meeting please remember to contact the Off Road department before Friday and we will do our best to bring it along to this meeting. There’s no better way to spend your bank holiday Sunday but to watching some fantastic racing and supporting the Rocket Centre race team.
