This week’s racing came courtesy of Preston MX club, the club members had worked hard to ensure the track was in good condition for the days racing. Although Sunday was a little breezy the rain clouds stayed away to ensure the sun shone throughout the day.
MX1 experts Lee Buck and Aaron Crowder sat side by side on the start gate for this much anticipated race. Aaron had three great races taking the lead from the start gate to chequered flag in almost all three races, adding another overall first place trophy to his collection. Lee also had three good races, although he picking up injuries in races one and two this didn’t stop him from completing his full set of racing to take the overall third place position. With Aaron Crowder with the overall win, young Rossendale rider Matt Williamson took the overall second place trophy and Rocket rider Lee Buck picked up the well deserved overall third place.
The MX2 experts race had an impressive line up; young Ryan Crowder displayed some excellent riding skills throughout his three rides to finished in second place in all three of his rides. Due to technical difficulties in race three Ryan rode his dad’s 450F Honda therefore his points for this race did not count towards the final score. This meant Ryan just missed out on the trophies with Matt Williamson taking the overall win, Jonathan Dutton in second and Roy Hind taking the overall third place trophy.
